We arrived tired, but safely and with all the luggage to San Jose airport. The hotel forgot to send a bus to pick us up so after a lot of Spanish and borrowing someone's cell phone, we ended up taking an official airport taxi to the hotel -- which may well have worked out better all around. The experience of city driving bumping along in a large van that was really too small for us (with all our bags) was unique, and a lot like our own version of the cramped public transport. The hotel was adequate and once we had a break to freshen up, we went looking for food. Everyone really enjoyed the fresh blackberry (mora) juice. Off to bed early, gotta get up at 7 for breakfast and preparation for an 8:30 bus ride to La Selva.
